MoTIV is operated by MOTIV CREATIONS LIMITED, Old Port Bell Road, Kampala, Uganda. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to MOTIV CREATIONS LIMITED, the controller responsible for personal information collected through this website.

This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit motiv.africa, contact us, subscribe to communications or request our services. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable data protection law, including Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 and its implementing regulations. Providing information is generally voluntary. Fields marked as required are needed to handle the relevant request; without them, we may be unable to respond or provide the requested service. Subscription information is retained while you remain subscribed, subject to limited records needed to honour opt-outs or meet legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous, subject to backup cycles and lawful retention requirements.

Access is limited to people who need it for their work. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. Subject to applicable law and any lawful exceptions, you may request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you, access to that information, correction of inaccurate or incomplete information, or deletion of information that is no longer lawfully required. You may also object to or request that we stop certain processing, including direct marketing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it.

We will respond within the time limits required by applicable law and explain any lawful reason we cannot fulfil a request. You may also lodge a complaint with Uganda’s Personal Data Protection Office.

12Children’s privacy

This website is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or guardian or another lawful basis. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorisation, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
